This set of photographs was taken by me from 1970-75, when I was occupied as a lawyer whose practice was limited to intellectual property issues. The self-portraits were given to me by the cartoonists for reasons too numerous to go into here. These photographs and self-portraits were originally published in Morse's Funnies 3. The two matters of most interest that I was involved in at that time were 1. hundreds of cases of the cartoon character from "Keep On Trucking" and 2. the "Air Pirates" case, both of which, due to circumstances beyond my control, ended dismally. The majority of copies of Morse's 1 and 2 were given away, signed and dedicated to friends and clients. A limited number have been sold on eBay. If you have a copy that's not signed and dedicated by me, it's most likely a forgery. Fortunately for you, copies of Morse's 2, with the appropriate certification are available from me, and/or sometimes on eBay. This portfolio is digitally printed, using a heavyweight matte archival paper, which, according to all reports, will last as long or longer than any fiber-based photgraphic paper. There will be 20 signed and numbered sets as well as 5 sets of artist's proofs in the first edition of this portfolio. All the photographs will be signed and numbered by me, and my blind stamp as well as my copyright stamp will appear on the verso, along with a rubber stamp indicating that this is the First Edition. You will also receive a Certificate of Authenticity. The self-portraits will not be signed or numbered, but will be rubber-stamped on the back. These portfolios will be offered first to those who have purchased Morse's Funnies from me and who email me a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity. Upon receipt of said certificate, I will quote the current market price. In the event that any portfolios remain, after a reasonable length of time the remaining portfolios will be sold individually on eBay.
